Tutta questa settimana e stata difficile ma Tu .... grazie Andrea!

At the very first moment I listened to Andrea singing, I was mesmerized... It was that video in YouTube, where he was singing, in Ichnos 1993,`no potho reposare` with Maria Carta... When the video finished, one of the videos that YouTube showed next, was that of Andrea singing the same song, in his last concert... I didn`t know anything about him yet, I had just discovered this great artist by chance... However my eyes became moist instantly, seeing how fragile he had become... and at the same time still strong with that smile, oh so radiant... I didn`t need to know that he suffered from cancer, it was obvious to me, because cancer strikes almost every family, every home... Each one of us, has surely lost, or has watched, a friend or a relative suffering.. In my opinion, it`s the epidemic of our times, just like in previous centuries, were tuberculosis, or plague, that killed people at the prime of their lives... Andrea, also was at his prime, happy with his wife, his children, successful and admired by many...

A friend of mine, was diagnosed with the same illness as you... and now she is fighting with chemotherapies, and all means that medicine has to offer... and it has to offer something completely new, bringing hope to cancer patients, and their families... Immune therapy... where doctors try with some new substances, to `teach` the immune system of the organism, to fight against cancer cells, without destroying the healthy ones...
I was thinking of you Andrea... As another friend wrote, I think it was Grazia, from Torino, what would happen, if you were ill today... Perhaps, you could manage to overcome it, and be alive...God, or fate, had different plans for you, unfortunately... and we are here, listening to your beautiful voice, keeping your memory alive, feeling thankful for what you gave to us...
